The BGI Growth Group Web-Based Software (the “Growth Group Software”) allows any company that uses it (BGI customers and BGI itself) to create self-facilitated peer advisory groups.
The Growth Group Software helps Participants follow the Growth Group methodology and keeps them focused on business challenges and opportunities, while mitigating problems that often arise in a group setting like jumping to solutions, interrupting or going off topic. During the Growth Group meeting, the Software cues Participants when it is their turn to present a challenge, ask questions about a challenge, or provide feedback without any single Participant of the group having to become the “leader”. The Software keeps time during the meeting to ensure meetings are efficient and groups stay on track.
Challenges take 30 minutes each, allowing 4-6 Participants from each group to present a challenge in a 2-3 hour meeting.
Automatic Emails
The Growth Group Software alerts Participants with the following emails: a) a reminder of upcoming meetings b) a reminder to enter updates and challenges c) a summary of group updates and challenges, d) meeting notes and action items from the previous meeting, 5) a reminder to select challenges (group coordinator only) and 6) attendance reminder and noncompliant voting process, when applicable.
Attendance Tracking
The Growth Group Software keeps track of Participant attendance throughout their involvement. Organizers have the option to determine how many meetings are allowed to be missed (if any) before a democratic voting process is initiated among any of their groups with a Participant who is noncompliant with the attendance policy.
Additional Functionality
The Growth Group Software includes the following additional functionality:
a) A Challenge Entry screen allows Participants to enter updates and challenges prior to their Growth Group meeting
b) A scheduling function allows a Group to reschedule their meeting time/date or location.
c) A Meeting Minutes screen allows Participants to confirm meeting minutes, correct any errors and adjourn the meeting
The Growth Group Application and Registration Forms (“Application Form”, sometimes also referred to as a “Registration Form”, and “Confirmation Form”) are currently made available to BGI Growth Group Customers at no additional charge. BGI will work with Customers to determine which type of form best suits their needs, depending on the information they wish to gather. Both forms currently use a third-party software provider (Typeform).
The Application Form is an optional form that Customers may customize to gather additional information or vet the Participant candidate during the recruitment and enrollment process.
The Registration Form is required and gathers basic information on confirmed Participants, including name and email address, to be used to add them to the Growth Group Software. It also provides access to required online Growth Group Training, obtains their consent to the BGI Software End User Access Agreement, Privacy Policy, Indemnification & Release of Liability Agreement and other policies as determined by the Customer and a Participant survey.
The Launching Your Groups Website is provided to Organizers to help them form, start and manage their Growth Groups. The site provides educational material as well as collateral, templates, and ongoing resources for managing Growth Groups.
The Participant Website is provided to group Participants to provide them with extra resources for participation in their Growth Group. The site provides educational material as well as user guides, software updates and best practices for participating in Growth Groups.
BGI provides the following support to Customers: a) Launching Your Groups and Participant Website and all that is included therein, b) onboarding, monthly feedback and debrief calls for Organizers, c) training and ongoing support for Participants, d) ongoing technical and account support (accessible via gogrowthgroups.com/support).
